In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the garlic until fragrant. This should take about 15 seconds.
Add the spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes for fresh spinach, or 5-7 minutes for frozen spinach. Drain any excess liquid from the skillet.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
Add the sautéed spinach and garlic to the mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if desired) to taste.
Transfer the mixture to an 8x8-inch baking dish or a cast iron skillet.
