How to make frozen cranberry margaritas
- Combine 2 tsp of salt and 2 tsp of sugar in a shallow dish.
- Run a lime wedge along the glass rim and then dip the glass into the salt and sugar mixture, set aside.
- In a blender, combine the cranberries, cranberry juice, lime juice, triple sec, tequila, red gel food coloring, and ice. Blend until smooth.
Can I make these margaritas without a blender?
You may certainly make these on the rocks instead of blending them. These will taste just as yummy.
Do I need to add food coloring?
The red gel food coloring doesn’t add any flavor it only gives it that bright red color but feel free to omit the food coloring.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Sugar Plus 2 tbsp, for rimming
- 2 tsp Salt for rimming
- 1/4 cup Fresh Cranberries
- 1 cup Cranberry Juice
- 1/3 cup Tequila
- 1/4 cup Fresh Lime Juice
- 1/4 cup Triple Sec
- 4 cups Ice
- 2-3 drops red gel food coloring optional
Instructions
- Combine 2 tsp of salt and 2 tsp of sugar in a shallow dish.
- Run a lime wedge along the rim of the glass then dip the glass into the salt and sugar mixture.
- In a blender, combine the cranberries, cranberry juice, lime juice, tequila, triple sec, food coloring, and ice. Blend until smooth.
- Serve in the prepared glasses and enjoy immediately.
